Artist's Comments

Referenced a voque photo of a woman with a horse. The horse started looking more like a cow, so I went with it.... lol

crit option on since it's still a sketch. Let me know what you think could be improved :)

I'll probably finish this on nicer paper, too. I kind of like it.

The spine of the figure seems to be in a distracting "S" shape. I've been a fan of yours for a while, so I know you've got a very distinct style, but improper skeletal structure takes away from the effect. Looking closely I can't find any pencil marks to indicate that you started with a base figure. Even when using a reference I've found it essential to lay down a gestural pose. It will make the final product more believable. It's also useful for fashion design because the clothes will have a body to drape and hang upon.
The idea is pretty fun - a fairly fancy looking woman posing next to a rustic farm animal - or rather a notoriously thin fashion model next to a literal cow. To develop this further I would suggest finding some cow references to really play up the contrast.
The Artist thought this was FAIR

Well, with the way she's posed, it looks as if her chest is jutting forward unnaturally and she's bent at the waist, and her right arm is pulled unnaturally far back. I think we'd see more of the upper arm.

I do like her eyes and face.

The pose was like that in the reference, I think I need to fix the front of the bodice so it looks correct at the waist. I tried making more upper arm visible and it looked weird ^^;
